Response 1: If I rules the world

If I ruled the world I’d probably have a nervous breakdown. I mean, where do you even begin with such a mammoth task? I’d surely crumble under the enormous weight of responsibility.

My every move would be scrutinized and analysed a hundred times over by a cold and unforgiving media whose only concern is selling a story. For every action there are consequences. Every decision I reached would immediately raise questions about the alternative decisions I could have made.

Who am I to govern the fates of billions of people? What divine right do I possess to cast judgment? You only have to look at the difficulty politicians have to appreciate the impossible nature of the task at hand. And they only try to govern at a local or national level.

No sir, I’m definitely not cut out to rule the world. For that I defer to a higher being.

  1. I agree, I certainly couldn't cope with ruling the world - I struggle to choose what to have for lunch!
