Response 3: The Storeroom of Childhood Games

It was one of those rainy days, when everyone was feeling low.
“I’m so bored, I’m losing my marbles” stated Chinese Checkers.
“I feel like I’m losing the plot” agreed Cluedo.
So, as per usual, they started discussing their glory days.
“I remember…” began Twister “when children loved me! Despite the controversy about me being inappropriate!”
“How cutting!” exclaimed Operation.
“At least they knew who you were” complained Guess Who.  “Children have forgotten us now. We’re going to stay in here forever”.
This made everyone sadder than before.
There were even tears from Crying Doll.
“You are completely wrong!” interrupted Simon.
Everyone stopped to listen.
After all, he was one of the oldest, wisest games.
“Each generation will re-discover us! We will bring joy to children again and again. There’s no need to worry!”
Everyone looked at each other and smiled.
If Simon says it, then it must be true.

  1. This story made me smile, I loved the way that the game's comments link to their functions.
