Response 5: Rough justice

“I hereby sentence you to a minimum term of 12 years imprisonment”. Bang, the gavel went down sealing my fate. Hard to believe that just a year ago I was soaking up the sun in Barbados, reaping my rewards for the business I’d worked so hard to build up.

Just 10 years ago, Rincon Enterprises was a bedroom operation. Today, it’s a global fashion brand employing 10,000 people. My thoughts are with my staff and their families as I’m led away from the dock. I wonder what will become of them in the fallout.

Exiting the courtroom, I’m accosted by baying reporters, photographers blinding me with their flashing bulbs. I had nothing to tell them. Why should they believe the real perpetrator has walked away scott free?

Nope, the buck stops with me.  I approved the restructure to an umbrella company. My corrupt FD must be rubbing his hands gleefully.

  1. Brilliant take on the brief. Just goes to show, the higher you are the further you fall. I feel sorry for this MD though.
