We are all born for greatness, I more than others I
think. My training started when I was just two and now at the grand old
age of six I have been working for two years. The day I got my tabard was
the second proudest day of my life. I strut around wearing it feeling
like the best dog in the world.
I am a seeing dog for the blind. The proudest day of
my life came when I did something nobody, let alone me knew I could do.
The fire was searing hot. I gave my signal bark but he was unconscious,
overcome by the smoke. I lifted the receiver and pressed 999 then went
back to him. I knew I had to get out of there, but not on my own!
Two weeks later, my owner fully recovered, I stand and await
my gold medal for bravery.
Nice story and its stories like this that we hear all the time. A man’s best and loyal friend.
