She was beautiful. She walked round the party with such ease. She joined conversations effortlessly and made people laugh. When she left a group, everyone look genuinely better for their interaction with her. She was the life and soul of the party. I’d never seen someone actually live up to that statement.
I asked my friends who she was. One person said she was Dave’s cousin. Another said she was a friend of a friend here on someone else’s invite. No one knew. After a while, I plucked up the courage to say hello. Stood alone by the bar, I approached and made a clumsy comment about the party. She smiled warmly and introduced herself. That’s when I knew I would spend the rest of my life with her.
I know you’re all itching to get at the buffet so I’ll finish by simply toasting my new beautiful bride. Cheers.
