Response 3: There was an old woman who lived in a shoe

‘There was an old woman who lived in a shoe.’

She had the right idea, too. When it came to moving, a quick trip to the high street and it’s job done. New shoes, new home, maybe even a tin of polish for cleaning.

Would that life was so simple for us! It would be a bit easier if you could actually move home. What we mean by ‘moving home’ is actually leaving the home where it is but shifting all the contents. Which, of course, is a king sized pain in the ass. But imagine if you could hire some sort of craft like Thunderbird 2 that would just come over – at a pre-appointed time, of course – and lift the whole damn thing up in the air, fly over to your new location and gently let it down. You could even hitch a lift. But don’t forget your seatbelt.

  1. I like the idea of that. The thunderbird 2 bit, not living in a shoe. That would just be smelly. And not very roomy either.
