Response 2: Falling

The diver took another anxious look at his air gauge. Down to 2% now. For the umpteenth time he twisted and pulled at his leg but to no avail – it remained lodged fast in the coral crevice.

The sky diver plummeted earthwards. She’d released the main chute and deployed the emergency but someone had sabotaged her kit. All out of options. 3,000 feet and falling.

The stock broker studied his screen in disbelief. The insider information was solid yet the share price had tumbled 500% in the last hour.

“BP still falling” the gunshot victim heard a surgeon say as he lay on the operating table.

Enrique pounded the refrigerator door with both fists. The door was wedged shut with him on the inside in just a T shirt. Man, it was cold!

In the blink of an eye everything changed. Panic, fear and trauma gone.

White light, calm, tranquillity.

  1. A cross section of tragic cases, but they all found peace. I'm wondering how Enrique got in the fridge, though!?
